Working together for a Sustainable Healthcare
Dalin Tzu Chi Hospital is a pioneer in sustainable healthcare, actively integrating Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles into its operations. It has been committed to environmental sustainability since its founding, implementing green building standards, energy-saving initiatives, and waste reduction programs. As part of the UN’s “Race to Zero” campaign, it aims to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2050. The hospital’s energy-efficient systems have saved NTD 4.5 million annually, and it promotes plant-based diets to reduce its carbon footprint.
Socially, Dalin Tzu Chi provides community care, including dementia services and remote healthcare, while its governance model emphasizes transparency and sustainability. Recognized internationally, the hospital has received several awards, including the Bronze Award at the International Hospital Federation for its green initiatives. It continues to collaborate globally with organizations like Health Care Without Harm to further its commitment to sustainable healthcare.
