Speech Therapy for Voice Disorders Across All Ages
從0-100歲:全齡嗓音問題的語言治療
This presentation explores various voice therapy techniques used to treat voice disorders across different age groups and life stages. It begins with an overview of voice management strategies, including Hygienic, Symptomatic, Psychogenic, and Physiologic Voice Therapies. Each approach is tailored to address specific issues, such as limited breath support, muscle tension, and psychological factors affecting vocal health.
A case study is introduced, tracing the progression of voice issues from childhood to old age, addressing conditions such as screaming nodules, muscle tension dysphonia, vocal nodules, polyps, and eventually vocal fold paralysis due to aging. Techniques like SOVT (Semi-Occluded Vocal Tract), RVT (Resonant Voice Therapy), LMT (Laryngeal Massage Therapy), and VFE (Vocal Function Exercises) are applied based on the specific needs at each stage.
Individualized therapy is emphasized, taking into account the patient’s age, diagnosis, and lifestyle. The presentation concludes by illustrating how speech therapy can enhance vocal function and improve quality of life for individuals with a variety of voice disorders.
