Revolutionizing Retina Treatment: The Future of Ocular Drug Delivery
視網膜治療新紀元：眼部藥物輸送的未來與前瞻
Although the intravitreal delivery of drugs remains the mainstay of treatment for retinal diseases, it still lacks some efficient treatment options. The development of ocular drug delivery has advanced significantly in recent years, especially with the advent of nanotechnology. In this presentation, we will first address the ocular barriers to drug administration, followed by different routes for ocular drugs to reach the posterior segment of the eye, including the latest technologies such as the port delivery system and microbubble ultrasound delivery technology. Lastly, we will discuss the combination of existing ocular drugs with nanoparticles.
