Application of 3D Reconstructionin Thoracic Surgery: CGMH experience
Dr. Chuan Cheng is a thoracic surgeon currently serving as an attending physician at New Taipei Municipal Tu-Cheng Hospital (Chang Gung). She completed her medical degree at Chang Gung University School of Medicine in 2016 and subsequently pursued rigorous training in thoracic surgery at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Linkou Medical Center, Taiwan.
With a strong passion for advancing the field of thoracic surgery, Chuan Cheng has made significant contributions through her research and clinical work. She is particularly focused on the 3D reconstruction of lung anatomy for preoperative planning. This advanced technique allows for personalized surgical planning, including image-guided localization, cryotherapy, and precise anatomical resections. The research includes publications in image-guided localization of pulmonary nodules in the hybrid operating room, single-port robotic thoracic surgery, subxiphoid thymectomy, sympathetic nerve reconstruction, and the risk factors of esophagectomy. She has received recognition and awards for her research, including the prestigious Young Investigator Award at the Annual Meeting of the Taiwan Association of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery. She also wrote the procedure guide for Artis Pheno on” image-guided VATS.”
